OUR GURUDEV SRI SRI THAKUR PURNANANDA (1936 – 2003) dedicated His divine INTELLECT & WILL to the work of spreading ideals of SRI SRI RAMAKRISHNA DEV, SRI MA SARADA DEVI, SWAMI VIVEKANANDA & SRI GAURANGA MAHAPRABHU among people. He tried heart and soul to make His disciples and others to follow Their lives and activities in life by practising in His own life because HE WAS MORE CONSTRUCTIVE , LESS INSTRUCTIVE. He, in His great divine form, had unique combination of MAHANAAM and VEDANTA based upon ON-THE-EARTH-SIMPLICITY, GREAT AUSTERITY AND RENUNCIATION. He was embodied with the ideology and philosophy of the incarnations stated above. |

Sri Ramakrishna Dev, the substantial form of all incarnations, the divine form of all – encompassing love, revealed Himself on the very auspicious moment of 18 February 1836 in Kamarpukur,West Bengal, Kolkata. At the age of seventeen, He became the priest at the Dakshineswar Kali Temple in Kolkata,India. He had great yarning for God – realization,inner vision for the Goddess Kali. For twelve years,He had great austerity – the hardest spiritual practice for the vision of the divine Mother in form. His exemplary dedication and sacrifice for the God, attracted people to come to Him and follow the spiritual path. bliss…infinite ecstasy. His teaching in simplest manner attracted commoners and god – seekers. Throughout His life and activities, He brought confidence into people that utmost and tireless striving take people to the ultimate goal of God – realisation. He had sixteen monastic disciples. Among them,Swami Vivekananda made his necter – like words reach to the world people.” Substantial truth of religions is same” – His great words had invaluable impact on the modern society a step forward to the world peace through harmony.

Sri Sarada Devi, universal motherhood all-encompassing,taintless, the embodiment of Knowledge, the motherly form of SRI SRI THAKUR in full,inseparable. She revealed Herself in the village of Jayrambati on 22nd December 1853. Since childhood,she helped Her mother in all household works. At the age of five, She was married to Sri Sri Thakur. In 1871,She came to Dakshineswar to share spiritual works with Him. All day long,She offered very hard labour to all household matters to best serve people who came to Him and also for their spiritual upliftment. She practised great austerity, led very simple life for the well-being of those people, being living example of perfect renunciation. Sri Ramakrishna Dev recognized Her as a manifestation of the Divine Mother.

Irrespective of castes,creed,race and material status,she radiated Her LOVE regardless of consequence and gain. Her motherly heart responded to all human crisis with spiritual consolation.meeting all material and immaterial crisis into divine one.After Sri Thakur, She alone led the Ramakrishna Movement. She was the only shelter of all His disciples and others. She raised her voice in favour of Woman Empowerment promoting education and economic independence. |

Swami Vivekananda, the selfless unconditional love in divine form, the greatest advocator of practical Vedanta, an infinite heart crying for the human distress in all manners,the spiritual ambassador of India to the west,the rejuvenator of Hinduism, the patriot saint revealed himself on 12 January 1863 in Kolkata. He dedicated his whole life for the material and spiritual upliftment of downtrodden and destitutes. He had an indomitabie spirit to jerk self-belief,self-dignity and self-dependence within people from the east and west. He spoke for practical spirituality and service to the distressed people all over the world. He “ eloquently advocated a healthy synthesis of East and West,of religion and science.” He promoted peace and unity on the basis of “ the spiritual principle of the Vedantic Oneness of existence.” |
He insisted the Absolute reality of God for the liberation of mind. He founded Ramakrishna Math & Mission to promte Vedanta all over the world to meet all human crisis material and immaterial. He greately emphasized on character-building. Above all,this immeasurable heart wept for every creature in distress. We bow down to the great soul. |

Chaitanya Mahaprabhu revealed Himself in Mayapur in the town of Nadia, just after sunset on the evening of the 23rd Falgun, 1407 advent of Sakabda answering to the 18th February, 1486 of the Christian era. His father JagannathMisra was a poor Brahmin of the Vedic order, and his mother Sachi Devi was a model good woman,both descended from Brahmin stocks originally residing in Sylhet. He was called as ‘Gaur Hari’ and Nimai since childhood. He was a very meritorious student. At the age of 10,He became a passable scholar in Grammar, Rehtoric, theSmriti and Nyaya. At the age of fourteen,Mahaprabhu was married to LaksmhiDevi,the daughter of a great scholar. After the death of His wife,he had to marry Vishnupriya. He was now so renowned that He was considered to be the best pandit in Nadia. |
Defeating Kashmir PanditKeshabMisra,NimaiPandit was now the most important Pandit of His times. At the age of sixteen,He took His initiation from iswarPuri,aVaishnavasannyasi,and a disciple of the renowned MadhabendraPuri at Gaya. Returning to Nadia,He exposed Himself as great Krishna devotee and opened a nocturnal school of Kirtan in the compound of SrivasPandit with His sincere followers.NityanandaPrabhu who was then a preacher of Vaishnavism and who had completed His travels all over India,joined Him by that time. Nadia now became the regular seat of a host of VaishnavaAcharyas whose mission was to spiritualize mankind with the highest influence of the Vaishnava creed. |
